Have we met?

Since the Fabulous Lorraine and Marvelous Malena have both posted in their shared blog that they each believed she had physically met me, I'm curious to see if anybody else thinks they've met me. :)
Post the details in a comment: when, where, circumstances, what you think I look like, etc.

This could be interesting, at the very least. :)

No. I've never met you in person.
I see just above shoulder length medium-brown hair...all about even and straightish.
I see a red t-shirt...something on it but too faint to see...maybe one of those silkscreens that is kinda nostalgic. I see you in a setting...lightly breezy...like the moors.

One thing I do is read people over the net. I have come close often, but it always scares me to post these descriptions.

So, Arian, how close is Vanda? I rarely get a clear idea of what people look like, and one of the nightmares I go thru daily is not being able to connect names and faces well. I was kinda relieved when you said you hadn't met anyone in person cuz I was starting to think I was the only one who hadn't and was invading a close knit group. I see you throwing the shuttle and banging the pedals of your loom like a madwoman, or crawling around on the floor threading heddles. (but I can't see a face, just hands flying)

Vandaluna: Physically, you're a bit off, though I have been thinking about getting my hair cut. :) I don't wear red very often, nor do I own a red t-shirt. It has been breezy here, not always lightly though. This doesn't mean you aren't seeing one of my Aspects, not all of which are human. So, if there's something you want to tell me, but don't want to do so publicly, email away. ;)

Ivenotime: Interesting. :) I don't have a big loom; most of my weaving has been tablet(card) weaving on an inkle loom, with some tapestry and tri-axial weaving. In other words, small, portable, and often off-loom weaving; however, I do tend to visualize myself braiding probability lines when working magick. You are also welcome to email me anything you don't want to post publicly.

That goes for anyone else who happens to be reading this from Lorraine a'Malena, too. I really don't bite. Well......not unless you ask me to, or without warning. ;)

Okay, the red tshirt I see as something you wear more when you're being not dressed up for public presence. maybe it is a symbol...baby doll T, no nonsense, down to earth. Like you are not associated with a genre, but dress in something accessible and comfortable because it is practical.

I just get this feeling of a practical person. I wouldn't think you wear alot of makeup, but could be curious about playing with it. the straight hair at shoulder length...practical, honest, straight forward. Natural, not made up.

the red shirt...not bright...baby doll T.

Card weaving? I tried that once many years ago and thought it was one of the most intriguing methods of weaving. I've never tried inkle or triaxial (what is that?). The patterns and possibilities with card and inkle are amazing tho - aren't both methods warp face weavings? Do you use these as straps, or join them with fabric? Hee hee, you can tell there is not a drop of psychic ability in me, I do envy those who have that gift!

Love the name of your blog! You should blog more often! Why did you stop?

Sweetheart, why did you stop writing in your blog?

yoga gal , Mainly, I have a 5.5 year old and a 3.5 year old. They don't give me much time to sit and blog, unless I'm willing to give up sleep. This is the same reason that I haven't finished a book within the past year.

Maybe I'll get around to posting in the next week or so. I also have a blog (that hasn't been much more than memes) on LiveJournal, which I find much easier to use.

Good to see you back at your blog but with two little ones I can understand that your hands are full and how it's almost impossible to find free time for such luxuries as reading or even thinking. But they must be cute to have around, no? Namaste

I haven't met you, that is true, but I have enjoyed your comments on LaM's blog for a long time.

I would like to meet you though.

Question: what age do you picture your inner self to be?

How do you picture your inner self?

ariandalen said...

I don't really have a particular age I picture myself, other than adult.

As to how I picture my inner self, well...that's a little difficult to answer. It kinda depends on what I'm doing. It might be more appropriate to ask "How do you see your inner selves?" I'm not sure I could give a very satisfying answer in a blog, or even in writing. Besides, it might give too much away. ;)

We get closer to where you live than anybody else. My in-laws live in Snohomish, WA which is, what, a couple of hours south of you? Snohomish is north of Seattle and just south of Lake Washington, east of I-5. I don't know if we'll be there over the Christmas/New Year holidays, or if it will be next summer, but we'll be up there for a couple of weeks when we go.

I haven't been to Snohomish but it really sounds like it isn't that far. Well, if you make it to Vancouver please drop me a line because it would be a pleasure to meet you and I would love to show you around, if you wish, in this city.
